Since my college days, Common Grounds has been one of my favorite coffee shop in Lexington. This is not my “usual” photography, but I thoroughly enjoyed it, would love to do more of it, and I know it will help me grow.

These three were a hoot! I had such a great time with them and they were willing to go with whatever crazy ideas I had…even some that might threaten their facebook coolness.
M, C & J – Thanks guys for being a great bunch! Hope you had as much fun as I did. I promise to bring at least two cups of frappuccinos with me next time

I had a great time photographing family ‘C’ this weekend. They were troopers as we dodged raindrops throughout the session. We met at a fishing club – what a great idea, and gorgeous location!!! I could have learned a lot from them. I think I’ve fished once or twice over 10 years ago, but the boys kept their fishing secrets from me
Within minutes from arriving, 5 year old “J” caught a fish…and as soon as he let it go, his older brother, “C” caught one too – I could barely keep up! To say these boys are handsome is understatement! Note to self – bring a step stool next time – so I can be eye to eye with 9 year old “M” (I have no chance with 12 year old “C” – I’ll need a ladder).

“C” family – thanks for inviting me to your mini fishing trip, and dealing with the rain! Here’s a little preview…

I met Miss C this past weekend for her senior shoot. We walked around a couple of blocks in downtown Lexington, finding some cool backdrops and some very funky art. If you live in town and have never been to Third Street Stuff Cafe, you’re missing out. From the short time I spent with C, I can tell she’s dedicated, focused, fun, and beautiful.
J & C – Thanks for driving all the way from Cincinnati to meet me
It was really hard picking just a few for the sneak peek. I had a blast working with you and I hope you love these!

This is going to be a short post…my kids’ nap time is almost over, but I wanted to get those out asap!
I had a fun relaxed session with a high school basketball star today. It’s definitely a change of pace from toddlers and kids, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We walked all over downtown Lexington. It was a perfect day for that.
Nick is graduating next month, and heading off to college to play basketball and get a degree in Sports Administration.
Good luck, Nick. I am sure you’ll do great.
Deb – it was great meeting you and chatting with you!
