I’ve been waiting for baby C’s arrival since the beginning of the year.  It was great to finally meet him, and see how he has already transformed his parents in 8 short days.  They are absolutely smitten, and I don’t blame them one bit.  It’s no lie, he made me work hard for the sleepy shots, but it was worth it.  He’s so cute & so very loved.

I was so thrilled when I first learned that one of my favorite set of twins were getting a baby sister and I will get to watch her grow during her first precious year.  I was honored to witness her birth day too.  What an amazing experience that was – I was grinning for the next two days!

Baby ‘M’, part 2 :: newborn & baby photography :: central kentucky

Since you just saw his 4 month session, I guess this is a tad bit late.  Better late than never, right?  Goodness, they grow fast!  Here’s ‘M’ at 4 weeks:

4 weeks old :: newborn photographer :: central ky

As I drove out of town to this session, I was tempted to stop every few minutes and take photos of the gorgeous scenery: rolling hills, barns, spring blooms, wild flowers, overcast stormy clouds.  It really couldn’t get any better – until I met baby ‘M’.  He was such a great baby, and despite the fact that he’s older than my usual-under-2-week-old newborns, he slept like a champ the entire session.  The storms kept me from doing the whole session in their beautiful backyard, but I snuck him out for a couple of shots (you can even see the few raindrops there), and I LOVE that image.  Not only because of the scenery, but because I know it’s probably where his feet will first touch the grass, and curl, where he’ll take his first steps and first falls, where he’ll be superman, a cowboy or a knight, where this yard will transform into his magical land.  It’s where he will spend his childhood and start building his memories.

I can’t believe I never posted photos from this newborn session.  He is such a good baby, and I just loved his flakey skin, thick dark hair & lashes, and those kissable lips.  And those expressions at just two weeks!?!!  How cute is he.

10 days old :: newborn and family photographer :: Lexington, KY

Baby ‘L’ is 10 days old here, which is the perfect age for newborn sessions.  He did SO good!  I couldn’t ask for a cuter model.  He’s so lucky too – he’s got a great big brother who is going to teach him everything.  Big brother, ‘A’, was so watchful over him…he actually wanted to watch me photograph his baby brother instead of play outside or watch a movie.  He earns extra goody points from me!  ’A’ is full of energy, imagination and personality.  It’s really fun to hear his stories and theories.  He’s an ogre expert too  These boys are lucky to have such patient, loving parents.  You can tell they are all very close, and it’s an honor to capture their evident love.

She’s as precious and cute as can be! She’s one lucky girl to have such a loving family! I know mom has been waiting since Friday to see those – so I won’t keep her waiting much longer!
