I met the ‘B’ family at the St Joe Maternity Fair earlier this year, and they were my lucky winners for a free newborn session.  I wanted their experience to be complete, so we added a mini maternity session.  Weather and scheduling came in our way, but the rain finally stopped just in time for us this week.  The light was magical!  I loved it, and I loved meeting the entire family.  They are hip, fun and a certain 4 year-old-soon-to-be-bigger-brother is full of energy & personality :)  Isn’t mom-to-be stunning!?!!  I can’t wait to meet baby boy #2.

If you are thinking of booking your newborn session with Zoombug Photos, use the contact form or email me now to take advantage of getting a free mini maternity session with it!

A – I am still on the look-out for a two-headed dog…I’ll let you know if I spot one ;)
C & J – Great meeting you again.  I hope you love these.

If you had a nephew this cute, wouldn’t you want another one?  Happy “early” first birthday, to my favorite derby baby :)

My wish is granted…I just have to wait T H R E E more weeks. sigh.

I always advice my clients to keep clothing simple, and play with accessories (depending on their age, of course).  I love the layered look, vibrant colors, but most importantly, the clothes should be comfortable and in your style.

So for inspiration here are some samples of what you can put together for your family/kids/maternity sessions – notice that they are not matchy-matchy, but work great together:

Sorry my blog has been neglected for a few weeks. I was at a wonderful workshop last weekend, with the very awesome,Audrey Wouldard in Chicago. I am still trying to absorb all the information she shared, but that really warrants its own blog post (whenever I get caught up — January!?!?).

I had the pleasure of finally meeting E & A. Our crazy schedules just did not work, but I am glad they finally did this past Sunday. After days of cold and rain, we were blessed with a nice sunny day. She’s expecting a baby boy within a week or two or three – bets are on with the doctor :) With parents like them, he’s going to be a handsome one. I can’t wait to meet him!

Family, friends & blog followers: 25+ comments gets this loving couple a free 5×7.

I had the pleasure of meeting T & D this past weekend. They are new to the area, and expecting their first son in November. I hope I introduced them to a few new places where they can hang out here in Lexington. The rain held off while we walked around a couple of blocks in beautiful downtown. I just love this area: quiet, colorful, rich in textures creating awesome backdrops! Mom-to-be is so gorgeous! I can’t wait to meet their baby in a couple of months.

T & D – It’s great meeting you! I hope you enjoyed your session :)

Family, friends & blog followers – 25+ comments, and I’ll throw in a free 5×7 for them!

In less than a month, this family is welcoming a new member. If baby girl is anything like her big sisters, she’ll be cute, beautiful and full of personality. Mom looks amazing, and is in great shape (I wish I was in half that shape!!!). I had a fun time capturing this loving family, who even included their furry friends in a couple of shots.

“G” Family – It’s always special to meet my friends’ friends :) Thanks for being good sports and going along with my crazy ideas. Your girls are just adorable, and I can’t wait to meet #3! Hope you love your peek…

I am thrilled to work with B and her family to capture this precious time in their lives, as they move from a family of three to four!  Baby girl is due any day now, so mom was a true trooper for getting the session done this late.  She looks stunning!  I also had the pleasure of meeting dad, and their doll baby girl, M who’s two and half.  She’s going to be a great big sister as she’s already lavishing her mom’s belly with kisses and hugs.  You can really see the love in this family, and it was an honor for me to be part of it.  I couldn’t have picked a more perfect winner for my maternity fair give-away.

If you attended St Joseph East’s maternity fair, please just mention this post when booking a session, and you’ll receive a free 8×10 of your choice, not to be combined with any other offer.

D family – it was a pleasure meeting you, and I can’t wait to meet your new princess!  Here are a few images from our session:

This was the most special session I have done to date. I’ve been waiting for this event way before I ever picked up a camera, and it makes me giddy with happiness to know that soon, I will be holding my nephew. My sister [without being biased] is the most beautiful person I know…inside and out!

T & D – I loved spending the day with you. I am so happy for you. You will be the best parents!

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing a beautiful mother-to-be (and father-to-be). We had a great session at their home. What a sweet and welcoming couple. You can really feel their love for each other. I can’t wait to meet baby G. If she’s anything like her mom, she’s going to be GORGEOUS! My oldest daughter saw me uploading some photos, and she asked me “is that the exercise lady?” I guess when you can see ab muscles while 30+ weeks pregnant, even 3 year olds notice :)

S & B – Here’s your sneak peek. I hope you love these!
