growing so fast :: baby and family photographer :: Georgetown, KY

I have been photographing this beautiful family since big brother was just a few months old.  I know it’s total cliche but it’s still unbelievable to think how fast 3 years have gone by.

It’s been only a few short months since I met baby sister, and at 7 months, she’s already scooting, “da-da”ing, trying to stand, and chase her brother.  Oh, and she’s all personality and charm.

I’ve said it before, but these two are just beautiful.  I don’t think I have given enough credit to their stunning mom – just check out how gorgeous the entire family is. And they are nice, sweet and welcoming too.

What  a gorgeous warm November day it was!  Those kids are always so much fun to be around, and #3 is racing to catch up with her older siblings.  Not quiet 4 months old, and is ready to sit up, and scoot on her belly.  They are such a blessing.

Whoever said that you can’t make close and real friendships past the college years, has not been as lucky as I have in meeting this family.  They are beautiful inside and out, and we share so much more than just having vibrant, caring little girls, daddies who love soccer, and mommies who are photographers. I am thankful for all the play dates and long phone calls we get to share.  Their love for each other is contagious <3

18 months :: Children’s Photographer :: Lexington KY

I’ve been photographing ‘M’ since he was 4 months old, and I truly look forward to his sessions. He steals my heart every.single.time.  Besides that contagious smile, he now sports the most adorable surfer boy hair.  But most of all I love all his hugs.  Such a sweet & happy little guy.

6 months old :: children photographer :: Lexington, KY

What a sweet and beautiful family.  We met on a brisk morning, and 6 month old, ‘C’, was calm, content, and ready to explore.  Not overly smiley, with the exception of a few of huge grins that he made us all work really hard for.  He was just happy to play with the grass blades, and feel the leaves.  Just check out those gorgeous eyes & lashes.  So adorable!

 

Super Toddler :: Lexington Children Photographer

It took only a couple of minutes into our session for me to know what a determined fighter little ‘T’ is.  Without giving up, he attempted to pick up a tiny leaf and drop it into the fountain over 5 times, each time the wind blowing it back out on the edge.  He would pick it again, and try again.  To say that this was a challenge is nothing compared to what he has already faced in his short 20-month life.  He’s already over come numerous surgeries, and 6 chemo cycles, just to name a few.  He wasn’t supposed to walk, but he does, and he does it very well.  He’s a brave hero in every sense of the word.  He’s also a typical toddler, who loves to explore, and definitely enjoyed the freedom of running around, checking out the leaves on the ground, and even exporling some door knobs.  His smile warms up your heart & his bright blue eyes sparkle – what a happy boy, and a total ham too.  He’s a lucky little guy to have two awesome parents who support him, challenge him, and love him.

little sister, big brother :: Lexington family photography

Started this beautiful day with a gorgeous family that is dear to me.  I got to watch big brother grow during his first year, and now it’s his little sister’s turn.  He’s full of energy, and she’s full of cuteness, and they are both so loved. She already looks for him as he runs around.  These two are going to have so much fun together.

Fall & Holidays Dates :: Family and Children Photographer :: Lexington, KY

 

I seriously can’t believe we’re in September already.  Fall is just around the corner, although my allergies think it’s should be in full swing.  I can’t wait for the gorgeous colors, like the ones int he images above taken last year.  I have only a couple of available dates left this month, so if you’re thinking about getting your family portraits done, this is a good time to book your session.  My holiday deadlines are as follow:
Sessions to take place by November 20, 2011
Orders must be in by December 4, 2011 

I am also having one dedicated day for mini sessions on Sunday October 23, those are great if you only want a few photos of your immediate family, or some fun shots of your kids in their halloween outfits.  See my “Mini Bug” under my investment to get details, and contact me to reserve your spot.

Next weekend is grandparents day, and if you are in a pinch for gift ideas, think about gifting them a session (or a mini session) with their grandkids!  It’s a priceless gift for both  I end this “PSA” post with a couple of my favorite great/grandparents/grandchildren photos!

You saw her birth story, now, without a glass wall between us, check out those lips, the hair, the squinty smile, those pretty eyes, and those wonderful big brother and sister.  Aren’t they all just precious!  Miss ‘A’ was a dream to work with – as were her protective siblings.
