I love doing sessions for all my clients, but being asked by friends and family (and extended family) is just an added honor for me. It shows how supportive they are of what I do, and fully trust my vision in capturing their families, their bonds, and their precious little ones.

I first met my “niece in-law”, Baby M 7 months ago, and it seems just like yesterday. I am lucky that I get to see her whenever we visit Louisville, but it still amazes me how much she’s grown, and how different and similar she is to that 6 day old beauty.
Just this week, she went from a stationary baby to super-fast mobile one, and 2 teeth broke through. Needless to say, mom can not take any more milestones! Thankfully she did not utter her first word at the session (although I suspect she wanted to say “enough” a few times). I just love all her red hair, and can’t wait to see if it will be curly as she grows.

Matt & Kelly – thanks for driving all the way to Lexington, and spending the day with us! You should do it more often Thanks for sharing M with me…she’s a doll.

Baby G was by far the easiest baby I have photographed.  He was laid back, and full of smiles and laughs.  He’s just too cute for words – a total ham.  I love all the hats his mom brought with her.  My favorite is his red beret!  Check it out, and his Mohawk, his rolls, and his gorgeous blue eyes…

I had the pleasure of meeting baby G as a newborn back at the end of January. I could not believe how much she has grown in a few short months! She was all smiles and grins, showing off her adorable personality. She worked so hard during the session that she was completed zonked out before we made it back to the car! Who said modeling was easy!?!!

I am lucky to have such gorgeous clients! 3 month old baby E was no exception, and as happy as can be, chilling in the shady breeze. Like most babies that age she had her own agenda. She smiled when she wanted (only on the soft white blanket, by the way), sang and cooed when she wanted, and was all serious when she wanted. Check out her beautiful baby blues, and her very hip reddish Mohawk. Too cute!

S family – It was great to finally meet you! Grandpa – thanks for helping me carry my baskets. I hope you love these as much as I do:

I had forgotten how fun it is to photograph 3 month old babies! What a fun stage, as they become alert, and interested in the world around them. Faces full of expressions, even if it’s not always the smiles that brighten mom and dad’s heart. Baby C was no exception…cute, but very seriously cute! We, both parents and I, worked hard to get a few smiles from him, but he was way too interested in everything else going on around him. He was laid back and easy going, did not fuss the entire session, even when he clearly was getting hungry. I love his hair…can you believe at three months he had already had his first haircut!?!! He was just a pleasure to photograph!

I had the pleasure of visiting friends and taking photos of their adorable children today.  Big sis was one of the first kids to grace this blog, see her at two here.  She has grown so much, and definitely has a sense of style…she had more accessories on than me, her mom and her grandma, AND it was all very well put together!  She is such a great helper, and a wonderful big sis to a 5-month old baby brother.  Baby N was all smiles, and was content just being close to his sister!  They are going to be a close pair.  They both have amazing eyes, and eyelashes to die for!

We had a great session today, with cute 6-month old baby E.  She is so easy to work with, and you can tell she is just a fun, easy going gal!  And oh, how I miss those baby rolls (my own two year old has only one left), so kiss on them, pinch them, squeeze them while they last – cuz this one is gonna be on the go soon!

I first met B & K late last summer when I did their 8 month old photos. I was delighted to get to spend a late morning with them again. And oh how they have grown! B is already walking, and is an absolute charmer! Look out ladies – it will be hard to resist those baby blues! K is more reserved and you can tell she’ll be a girly girl, with her ballerina posture, her adorable reddish hair, and a set of irresistible baby blues of her own! I had fun playing and dancing with these two!

I had the pleasure of meeting baby M today. She is such a sweet and laid back baby, and cooperated so well, while I kept disturbing her nap! I could not believe how well she can hold her head up, and lift it…at only 3 months! You can tell she’ll be a superstar. With a musician dad, and a dancer/instructor mom, no wonder she already has the “rock on” move down (check out the last photo)!
