What a fun bunch!  I had a great afternoon with the “G” family this past weekend.  We had met when baby ‘A’ was still in her mommy’s belly, and when she was a newborn.  Now she’s 9 months old, and is already trying to crawl and stand.  She’s got to catch up to her older sisters  2 year old  sis, also ‘A’, was all about including her baby sister, and looking for ants on the ground!  She is so cute with her “hiss” to let us know she found some.  The leader of the pack, almost 5 year old ‘T’, is just as lively and inquisitive as ever.  She’s very excited about starting K this fall, and I am sure she’ll have plenty of stories to share with me next time!  I totally enjoyed being with them!

I’ve attended numerous commencements in my many years at UK & after. They are always special. They are symbols of years of hard work, commitment, friendships, fun, growth, and new beginnings. I always advice my clients to keep clothing simple, and play with accessories (depending on their age, of course).  I love the layered look, vibrant colors, but most importantly, the clothes should be comfortable and in your style.

So for inspiration here are some samples of what you can put together for your family/kids/maternity sessions – notice that they are not matchy-matchy, but work great together:

I’ve neglected this blog/site for too long. Getting “behind the scenes” work done is time consuming, not as fun, but very necessary for any biz, so thanks for understanding

I want to share a few images that I took while working with a great custom children’s store here in Lexington. Cradle Will Rock was born in the sunny beaches of California, and recently relocated to beautiful Lexington in Victoria Square. Aren’t we lucky to have a such a unique, hip and colorful addition? I just love all the gorgeous fabrics. Moms and dads of boys, be on the lookout for the boy line coming really soon. I can’t wait to get some stuff for my nephew!

What better way to start the spring, than to celebrate some of my favorite images from last year!  It was a great year, and I wish I can showcase every single baby, child, senior and family, but that would only be possible if I do it in rounds.  I am all about keeping things simple this year, so I’ve narrowed it down to 21 images.

So here are the details:

I rarely share the full session slide show on the blog – mostly because I’m not the most organized person, and I end up running out of time

So here’s one for you to enjoy…with the very awesome “B” family.  Their love and connection is so strong, it’s hard to miss in the images.  We always have fun at sessions – that’s my goal, because it results in genuine, happy photos, that really represent your child and family.  I love it when seeing the images, takes you back to session time.  It’s one thing when this happens a month after the session, it’s extra special when it happens years from it.

Any parent can tell you, just how fast that first year goes by!  So many milestones to celebrate, from smiling, sitting, crawling, walking, first tooth, first word, first laugh, first birthday!  It’s does not slow down after that, and it’s just as fun to watch babies grow into toddler, preschoolers, and kids

This was my third time meeting with beautiful E (see her in the header slide show above), and her first time at the park.  She was fascinated by all the kids, waving and saying “hi” to everyone, and by the big trees, looking up and saying “wow”.  She’s just too cute.  It’s safe to say, that the cupcake at the end of the session was her favorite part.  I don’t blame her – it was yummy!

Spring is in the air, Easter is around the corner, and late afternoon sessions are back!  And who better to start with than beautiful baby L!  She’s always full of personality, and it’s so fun to see how much she’s grown in two short months.  She’s added acting to her repertoire of skills, as she pretended to get real sleepy and played off with huge yawns at the end of the session.  Mom called her bluff, but she had me convinced
