It’s always a nice complements when family friends drive over 3 hours for a photo session. I was thrilled to see “I”, and his older brother “K”…and of course their dad, who in the years that he lived in Kentucky, had not made it to Keeneland! So we had a photoshoot, and a sightseeing trip for dad I had fun chit chatting about cars and video games. It was a nice change from Curious George and the Wiggles that my girls are into!

I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing a beautiful mother-to-be (and father-to-be). We had a great session at their home. What a sweet and welcoming couple. You can really feel their love for each other. I can’t wait to meet baby G. If she’s anything like her mom, she’s going to be GORGEOUS! My oldest daughter saw me uploading some photos, and she asked me “is that the exercise lady?” I guess when you can see ab muscles while 30+ weeks pregnant, even 3 year olds notice

fall ends…

I took my youngest daughter out a quick shoot in our front yard. I wanted to get a photo for her birthday invite…I can’t believe she’ll be two in a few weeks. This past year flew by faster than the one before. She cooperated better than I expected, and her older sister played “assistant” and within 10 minutes I had the shots I needed, and they got to play in the wet leaves. Yay!

I am very proud of this image. All my newborns are extra special, because parents trust me with this fleeting moment, and welcome me into their homes with their brand new bundles of love. This was my very first newborn session, and I want to extend a special thanks to Katherine & Juan for giving me the opportunity to capture baby A. She’s precious, and I can’t believe she’ll be turning one soon!

I love this image…and their entire session. I love the change of pace of working with adults, especially those who like Rayna and Andrew who are open to new venues, and are totally up for all of my craziness – and so totally in love with each other, it shows in every photo. Thanks, guys!

How special it is to welcome twins into this world! It was really hard picking my favorite from this set, because I love so many of them. Karen & family, thank you for everything! I loved working with your gorgeous family.

Ashley & Mommy

My friend drove over 4 hours from Ohio to spend a weekend here in Lexington, and to do portraits for her and her adorable daughter, Ashley. Ashley is one day younger than my oldest daughter, and both Beth and I were shocked to see how similar they were: facial expressions, the way they talked, they way they both bossed everyone around, and even the way they smiled! The girls had a blast, and so did we! I just loved their outfits! Aren’t they cute?

Beth – I hope you love these & that grandma is going to be pleasantly surprised

The first place winner will receive a 16×20 mounted print of the winning image.
Second place will get an 11×14 mounted print of the runner-up image.
Third place winner will get 8×10 mounted print of the second runner-up image.
All sessions booked during the contest time will receive a $25 print credit. Just mention the blog contest when booking your session.
