About me

I am a natural light, on-location lifestyle photographer based in beautiful Lexington, KY.  I have an educational background in design and computer science (think “artist meets techie” girl). 

My first introduction to photography was in a college black and white photography class.  I discovered my passion for it after I had my first child.  I wanted to preserve every moment, and I love being able to do the same for you, no matter where you are in your life:  graduating seniors, in love couples, growing families, expecting moms, newborns, toddlers, kids and tween!

Style

I strive to capture the moment, the personality, and the details in a timeless way.  I would describe my work as modern, simple and colorful.  I love rich textures, bold colors and high contrast black and white portraiture.

Location, location, location

Central Kentucky offers a wide range of backdrops: Horse farms, beautiful parks and a historic downtown.  Make it personal, and set it up at your home, grandma’s yard or your favorite spot in town.  Take your pick or leave it up to me to find that perfect location for our session.

Newborn sessions are held at your home – for your convenience and the safety of your new bundle of joy.

Before, During and After

To book your session, send me an email or give me a call with your preferred date/time.  I currently book sessions on select Tuesdays, Fridays and weekends only.  The session fee is required to hold your date, and is due at least 2 weeks in advance.  If you are expecting a baby, please book as soon as you can – I will pencil you in around your due date, and you can confirm the day/time after the baby is born.

I try to keep the session fun, spontaneous and laid back.  We’ll walk around and play games.  My goal is to capture your children as they are, doing what they love doing.  I will not ask them to look at me and smile,  I’ll get more natural shots while I interact with them.

After our session, I will post a sneak peek of a few images on my blog.  I will process your images, and send you a link to your private online gallery, where you’ll be able to view, share and order prints.  Digital files can be purchased separately and are not included with the session fee.
