Personal Project :: Lexington KY Children Photographer
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all got to enjoy some quality time with your loved ones in the past couple of weeks.
New years and new beginning make you think about where you were and where you want to go. Honestly it kind of crept on me, and I feel “behind” already. But one of my major goals for this year is to let go of unreasonable guilt what seems to plague lots of mom in particular. Guilt that comes from not being super-human, and having to do it all. I’ll instead focus on doing what I can, as best as I can, and keeping my priorities in mind.
Last year, I embarked on a personal project that I thought would help me creatively, professionally and personally. I photographed my daughters every week, either while we were out and about, or in a more set-up short sessions. They only give me 2-3 minutes before they are “done”, so I had to make it fun for them as well. Below is a slide show of some of the resulting images. The hardest part was choosing the weekly shot. I have different reasons for each image, but I hope that each tells you a bit of a story. The lovely song is “Do What You Love” by Ryan Huston (used with permission).
I have lots of exciting things planned for 2013, and I can’t wait to share some of them with you.
